Job Creation

We can create jobs by making the super rich and corporations pay their fair share of taxes so that consumers, who are the real job creators, have more money to spend.

The Republican argument, of course, is that everyone, except the very wealthy, should be happy sacrificing their lives and the lives and well-being of their children, because big business and the very wealthy, the ones who profit at your expense, are the job creators.

The truth is, the Walker budget is a job killer. Republicans were elected on a promise to create jobs. Then they passed a job-killer budget. Republicans want you to believe big business and the very rich are the job creators.

That is not true. Consumers are the job creators. You and your neighbors.

Jobs are created when people buy things, not when corporations get tax breaks. Republicans also argue that tax increases on the wealthy might cost us jobs. That is a little bit true. But only a little. Very little. Very, very little. Well, it is not really true at all. The real truth is that cuts in government spending cost us far more more jobs. Walker himself admits his budget helps big corporations and the very rich at the expense of consumers. But he says that's okay, because Republicans have to protect the job creators. But Republicans are not protecting the job creators. They are protecting big corporations and the very rich at the expense of the real job creators - regular people! That is why the Walker budget is a job killer.

This is not political rhetoric. It is the explanation given in every economics textbook.

The real way to create jobs in Wisconsin is to make the wealthiest people and corporations pay their fair share of taxes, so that everyone else has a smaller tax burden, better education, a safer and higher quality environment, and the ability to spend more money, which is the only way to increase not only the number, but the quality of jobs in Wisconsin.

If you think you should vote for someone with a false job-creator story, you need to be protected from yourself. You should not be allowed to vote. You should not receive a Voter IQ Card.

If you think you should vote for someone who claims he should take your money and give it to some rich guy, because when rich guys spend money it creates jobs, but when you spend money it will not create jobs, you need to be protected from yourself. You should not be allowed to vote. You should not receive a Voter IQ Card.
